I dont have much time to post but I figured that I would paste the post from PreschoolersandPeace :

Benefit Carnival for the Davis Family

By Kendra | May 13, 2008

Lisa asked me to post about an event their family is planning. Talk about a family vision for doing great things together! Read on…

It’s that time again! In just three weeks, Saturday, May 31st, 2008, the 2nd Annual Riverbend Ranch Charity Carnival will take place!

This year all proceeds will be going to the Davis Family Educational Fund. Please join us for a day of “Old Fashioned Family Fun For A Good Cause!” 15+ game and craft booths, face painting, bounce land, horse and pony rides, great food… all this and more will be waiting for you! Details including directions and a chance to pre-purchase game and raffle tickets can be found on our website at CarnvialforCharity.com

Pre-purchased tickets include a free lunch! If you can’t join us that day, consider purchasing a raffle ticket. We’re raffling off an entire side (half) of a locally raised, corn-fed steer, including cutting and packaging. With today’s grocery prices, we’re excited that one blessed family will walk away with hundreds of pounds of meat for the cost of a $15 raffle ticket! We’re also raffling off 49er tickets, Giant’s tickets, tickets to the Gallo Center for the Arts, a golf package at Greenhorn Creek in Angels Camp, car service from Balwick’s in Turlock, a two night stay at any World Mark resort, horseback riding lessons, and a teeth whitening package from our very own Dr. Fletcher! :)

A team of four families has grouped together to match everything we raise this year. Our goal is to raise a total of $10,000 for the Davis children. What could be better? A day of family fun and a great cause!

Much of our children’s school time has been used writing letters to potential donors, calling to make rental reservations, and enlisting volunteers. We’re excited about the day we have planned and hope you’ll be able to join us! Last year’s carnival raised over $4000 for the Acres of Hope Liberian Orphanage. Many of you attended and helped; we’re so thankful for your support!
